Monsters are hostile NPCs which attack players. Interactions with monsters also encompass boss encounters and other combat challenges. Monsters are designed for a specific environment and take planning to defeat.[1]

Monsters refer to creatures that are aggressive towards the player and will try to attack them on sight, dealing damage and depleting the player's health points.
